Montessori Mammal Types Booklet
Hi there! I hope you've had a good week! Just wanted to pop in and share this printable booklet with you because mammals are cool. Children are always looking for ways to classify their world and this printable makes a fabulous short read in small group lessons.
Once your readers are comfortable with the vocabulary, you can offer this booklet as reading practice. Amazing things happen with your readers when you introduce new vocabulary though oral lessons before making it available for reading practice.
Okay. Can we talk about Echidnas for a moment? They are cool enough being one of the only mammals that lay eggs, but they also have long sticky tongues to catch insects, they produce 'milk patches' for their young, and the babies are called 'puggles'. Look them up. They are adorable.
That is all I wanted to say about that. Enjoy the free printable PDF on mammal types and Happy Teaching :)
P.S I love the simplicity and illustrations of About Mammals by Cathryn and John Sill
